A man murdered his 4-year-old stepdaughter after hitting her in the stomach with a stick. The subject is sentenced to 83 years in prison for this crime.
A man beat his 4-year-old stepdaughter to death
The Judicial Authority issued a sentence of 83 years and four months in prison against Israel Eslava Rodríguez, who murdered a four-year-old girl, daughter of his romantic partner.
According to a press release, a judge also established that Israel Eslava must pay fines of 434 thousand pesos and 1 million 870 thousand 479 pesos as reparation for moral damages, in addition to 129 thousand 500 pesos for psychotherapeutic therapy for the offended parties.
The Prosecutor’s Office informed that on May 4, 2020 this subject hit the victim in the stomach with a stick, when they were in his domain.
The minor was taken to a local hospital, where she received medical attention, however, she died due to her injuries.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office of the FGJEM became aware of these facts and initiated the respective investigation for the crime of femicide.
He emphasized that the diligences made by the personnel of the State Prosecutor’s Office established that the victim suffered from Kempe Syndrome, also known as Battered Child Syndrome.
With the data collected and various investigations carried out, the Social Representative requested a Judge to issue an arrest warrant against this individual, which was granted and executed days later by elements of the Investigation Police (PDI).
Before these facts, Israel Eslava was admitted to the Penitentiary and Social Reinsertion Center, where a Judge sentenced him to trial, and after a legal process, he was sentenced and his civil and political rights were suspended.
