A man who claimed to have literally lived through hell has recounted his memory of what happened when he was allegedly trapped in the underworld for 23 minutes.

Bill Wiese has recalled what happened when, in November 1998, he woke up at 3am for a drink.

He describes the whole thing as an out-of-body experience, saying he was taken out of his body and traveled to hell through a long tunnel.

Speaking to Christian broadcaster TCT Network, Bill said, “It got hotter and hotter and I landed on a stone floor in a hell cell.”

“There were stone walls, bars, it was more like a dungeon, a dirty, smelly, smoky dungeon.”

He continued, “The heat was so unbearable that I wondered how I could be alive, why am I here, how did I get here.” He said he then saw two huge demons in the cell, saying they were walking around.

The creatures, who had a “ferocious demeanor,” were blaspheming, according to Bill. “One demon picked me up and threw me against the wall of this cell, feeling me burst all my bones after the blow. I know now that a spirit has no bones, but it felt that way.”

“I wondered why I am still alive with this.

The other demon dug its claws into my chest and tore the flesh.” He said the cell lit up, with what he believed to be the presence of God there, before plunging back into darkness.

As if all that wasn’t bad enough, he was taken out of his cell and placed next to a random fire pit.

But, it wasn’t metaphorical flames, he claims, it was “real fire.”

He said there were varying degrees of punishment and he was kept in isolation, adding that “the stench in hell is the most foul, putrid and disgusting.”

Bill returned safely to earth and ended up writing a book titled 23 Minutes In Hel, fortunately.
