Ashley Wadsworth, 19, was found dead in a block of apartments in Chelmsford, Essex. A man has been charged with murdering the girlfriend who flew from Canada to Britain to meet him.

Jack Sepple, 23, was arrested at the scene in Tennyson Road and has since been charged with her murder and will appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court today.

Police officers invaded the housing estate after receiving reports of a domestic disturbance and paramedics attempted to revive Ashley, who sadly died at the scene.

The tragic teenager, from Vernon, Canada, had traveled to England on November 12 to visit her boyfriend.

She was due to fly home this week

During her trip to the United Kingdom, Ashley visited dozens of tourist attractions, including Buckingham Palace and Big Ben (the Elizabeth Tower) in London.

She also joined Sepple’s family for a trip to the historic town of Rye in East Sussex and was scheduled to return to Canada later this week.

DCI Scott Egerton, of the main investigation team, said earlier that his initial inquiries show that the murder was an isolated incident “without a major risk to the community.”

Ashley had come to the UK in November to stay with her boyfriend.
