Have you ever imagined yourself a wine connoisseur? Well, if you’re willing to stand your ground and leave your life behind, we may have found you the perfect job.

California winery offers job

Ideal for anyone who wants a new chapter (and likes a glass of wine or seven), California’s Murphy-Goode Winery is looking for someone to move there for a year and live without rent, and they will earn a salary of $ 100,000, to boot.

The winery is located in the Sonoma Wine Country of Healdsburg, and it’s safe to say that it is quite picturesque.

The Murphy-Goode team advertised the job on the winery’s website, jokingly calling it A Really Goode Job.

“We have a job that will instantaneously catapult you into the wine stratosphere,” the website jokes.

“Have you always wanted to live in breathtaking Sonoma Wine Country… with a $ 10,000 per month salary, and rent free for a year? Looking for a change in your career and pursue your passion? Do words like Cabernet, Rosé and Chardonnay roll off your tongue?”

The ideal candidate

While the exact job description will be tailored to fit the interests of the person landing the job, the winery promises 90 days of follow-up from winemaker David Ready Jr. and learn all about the grape harvest process and how it is done and how you get the end product.

“From there, we will work with you and your passions to help you choose your path in the wine business.”

The most important criterion is that you must be 21 or older and “take life one sip at a time.” The winery will assess people on “role value, creativity and design, applicable experience and skill set.” You have until June 30, 2021 to apply.

To apply, you need to pull out a camera and record a video that explains why you are perfect for the job. Let them know if you see yourself helping with the harvest, working in the tasting room, or helping out with winemaking.

The most interesting candidate, with a clear vision of what they want to gain from the experience, is likely to land the job.

The winery has warned that creativity and humor are also a bonus. The goal is to attract attention, so that you can pocket a lot of money and enjoy a year of drinking and learning about wine in an idyllic setting.
