Middle East service suspension and flexible ticket options
The airline has officially cancelled its passenger services to and from the Middle East for the period extending to 30 November 2026. This decision, announced on 4 September 2026, comes with a flexible ticket condition that allows affected customers to modify or refund their bookings without the usual penalties. The move aims to give travelers breathing room while the airline reassesses its Middle East network amidst ongoing operational challenges.
Relocation to Fuzhou Airport Terminal 2 and other regulatory updates
Effective 4 September 2026, Cathay Pacific will operate from Terminal 2 at Fuzhou Airport. The new hub promises upgraded facilities and a smoother flow for flights connecting to Southeast Asia, Australia, the Americas and Europe. Alongside the terminal shift, the airline has published stricter rules on lithium-battery power banks—they will be prohibited in checked baggage and limited in carry-on compartments as of 30 March 2026. Travel advisories for the UK and the Schengen area were refreshed on 16 February 2026, outlining vaccination, testing and documentation requirements for passengers.
Special fares from Incheon to Hong Kong and booking tips
On the promotional side, Cathay Pacific is offering a limited-time special fare on flight CX427 from Incheon to Hong Kong. Round-trip tickets start at KRW 339,300, while a one-way seat is priced at KRW 194,600. The same route’s alternate service, CX413, is listed at KRW 374,300 for a round-trip. Departures include a 01:55 am flight arriving in Hong Kong at 04:45 am, and the return CX426 leaves Hong Kong at 19:45 pm, landing in Incheon at 00:25 am the next day. Black-out periods apply from 21-25 September and 02-09 October 2026, so travelers should act quickly.
Bookings are limited to a maximum of nine passengers per online transaction; larger groups must contact a local reservations office. Infant travelers (under two years) are required to reach out to Customer Care after completing their reservation. The airline highlights that these fares are the lowest available as of 9 September 2026, but they remain subject to fuel surcharge fluctuations, exchange-rate changes and other variables.

By pairing CX427 or CX413 with onward services, passengers can reach major Southeast Asian, Australian, North American and European destinations with reduced layover times, allowing a more relaxed travel experience.
