Christian Eriksen, Denmark national team player, collapsed during the first half of the match against Finland (43rd minute). The medical services quickly came to resuscitate him to the gestures of teammates and opponents, but the player minutes later remained on the ground, unconscious.
His teammates surrounded the scene so that the broadcast did not focus on the area where the Inter Milan player was being treated. The silence in the stadium was total, with tears among his own teammates.
On a stretcher, covered by several flags so that no one could see what was happening, the midfielder was taken to the tunnel by the medical services.
UEFA announced on its website that the match between Denmark and Finland was suspended. The players, along with the referees, left for the dressing rooms.

Without being hit by any player, the Danish captain fell to the ground and had to be given emergency treatment by the Danish national team’s medical services.
