The Irish UFC star baptized his son at the Vatican on Saturday before the alleged assault on Francesco Facchinetti at a party that same night. Facchinetti claims the incident was unprovoked and unexpected after the two had enjoyed time together during the evening.

“McGregor attacked me unmotivated after we talked for over two hours and also had fun together,” Facchinetti wrote on Instagram. “I could have kept quiet and not said anything to anyone, but since I’m here to tell, I have to say that person is really violent and dangerous.”

Facchinetti is an immensely famous DJ, with more than a million followers on Instagram, and has presented four series of the Italian X Factor, as well as being a judge on the national edition of The Voice.

Wilma’s wife, 41, also posted on Instagram about the incident, further detailing the circumstances.

“Fortunately, Francesco was very close, so McGregor couldn’t carry his punch,” she said. “Francesco flew backwards, landed on the table and then on the ground. The first thing that came to my mind was, are we kidding, this is a show?” he said.

“Then I froze,” she added . “I turned around and saw his friends pinning him against the wall because he wanted to keep hitting Francesco. Then they took him away. I turned on the light and the guards turned it off. Francesco was bleeding. I wanted to help him and the guards kicked us out.”

McGregor has a string of previous legal problems and controversies, including a conviction for assaulting a man in a Dublin bar in 2019 who had refused to drink a shot of whiskey that McGregor had insisted he drink.
