Tubi, the popular streaming platform, has announced the launch of Bite Size Terror a new short-form horror anthology series. Produced by GJMD Studio and executive produced by Peter Rice this 10-episode series is set to premiere in fall 2026 as part of the Terror on Tubi Hub.
The series promises to explore every corner of the horror genre from the supernatural and occult to body horror, dark comedy, monsters, and the macabre. Each episode delves into themes like grief, ambition, intimacy, and vulnerability, offering a unique entry point into something darker. Characters searching for connection, control, or a way forward find themselves confronting forces they do not understand.
Tubi’s Push Towards Short-Form Content
Bite Size Terror is the latest in Tubi’s efforts to expand its short-form offerings. In 2024, the platform launched Scenes a scrollable, TikTok-esque feed of snippets from Tubi’s library of TV shows and movies. This move is part of a broader trend among major streamers, including Netflix, Prime Video, and HBO Max, who have also embraced clipified content to compete with social media and YouTube.
Tubi has a history of partnering with digital creators, often without exclusivity barriers. This approach has allowed the platform to foster a diverse range of content and voices, making it a compelling destination for both creators and audiences.
Showcasing New Horror Filmmakers
Adam Lewinson Chief Content Officer at Tubi, expressed enthusiasm about the series, stating, “With a different nightmare in every episode, Bite Size Terror is a thrilling showcase for the next generation of horror filmmakers. It brings bold, unpredictable stories to the Terror on Tubi Hub, adding to an already compelling destination for fans with more than 53 million hours of horror to explore.”
Peter Rice one of the executive producers, highlighted the series’ role in discovering new talent. “Our horror shorts have become an extraordinary engine for discovering new writer-directors, 90 shorts, nine first features and counting. We’re thrilled to partner with Tubi to introduce the next generation of horror filmmakers with Bite Size Terror on Tubi.”
The series is produced by GJMD Studio and executive produced by RiceDavid Worthen BrooksArbi Pedrossian and David Moore. The deal was brokered by Brooks and Lewinson.
