According to the targeted extremists, determined by reporters to be Antifa, they attacked law enforcement in Portland Tuesday night while destroying businesses and lighting along the freeway.

The riots were followed earlier by another peaceful rally, where, according to Portland police, activists “chanted and chanted as they walked peacefully.”

Portland police explained the riots and described the events that occurred: People attempted to do so by lighting a fire in the dumpster.

Many people approached the Justice Center with umbrellas to conceal their actions and movements.

Officers approached the crowd to make room to allow Portland Fire and Rescue Service to safely penetrate the block to extinguish the dumpster fire against the building.

The crowd tore down the fence surrounding Chapman Square Park and used segments of the fence to block Southwest 4th Ave. Avenue near Southwest Main Street.

Those moving in the rear area threw objects at officers, including frozen water bottles, eggs and metal spikes.

When the fire dissipated and the firefighters were safe, the officers used smoke and left the area.

As the crowd moved through the city center, some people broke windows and damaged commercial property.

Among the crowd, several people could be heard saying that the night had been a success.

Attorney General Merrick Garland was asked at his Senate confirmation in February whether he considered the extremist violence in Portland to be “acts of domestic extremism, domestic terrorism.”

“Well, Senator, my own definition, which is pretty much like the legal definition, the use of violence or violent threats is trying to disrupt democratic processes,” Garland responded.
