Influencer Slammed For Eating Her Own Placenta. An influencer has once again come under fire after being criticized for posting a video of herself drinking her own placenta.

Caila Carim, an actress, model and an influencer, from Manaus in Brazil, posted the video on April 16.

It shows her preparing and consuming a placenta and acai berry smoothie.

She can be seen taking a drink from the shaker before commenting to a woman off camera that it tastes like “acai.”

But social media didn’t take it, with many wondering why he had the sensation to share the video.

“No one wants to know if they drink placenta tea.”

In response to the criticism she received, Carim took to Twitter, “People call me sick because I took a sip of my placenta. Sick are the ones who feel disgusted.”

The trend known as Plazentofagia is growing worldwide, but especially in the U.S., with the likes of Kim Kardashian who defends its benefits.

According to her, placental food can boost energy and promote breast milk production.
It is even supposed to help prevent repeated depression.

However, there is no definitive scientific evidence to prove the claims.

The Royal College of Midwives suggests that it could be dangerous.

Despite the many benefits attributed to plazentofagia, it is unclear whether its consumption is beneficial.

Carim” is not the first to taste the organ of pregnancy in a tasty food.

A new mother, Ketrina Hill, 27, turned the placenta of her two children at birth into a chili burrito.

“I slow-cooked it with beef and made a burrito.” said Ketrina Hill.
