Richman’s departure follows an illustrious career spanning over 11 years, during which he played a pivotal role in shaping retirement security policies in the United States.

Richman’s tenure at IRI was marked by significant achievements, including his instrumental role in the passage of landmark legislation such as the SECURE Act of and the SECURE 2.0 Act of 2026. These acts are considered some of the most comprehensive retirement security laws enacted in over a decade.

He was a key figure in IRI’s successful challenges to the Obama and Biden Department of Labor fiduciary ruleswhich were ultimately vacated by federal courts.
