The idea that he has $10 million for a charitable donation shows that he has accumulated impressive wealth since launching his YouTube channel and taking up boxing.
However, he will only hand over the incredible sum of money if Elon Musk makes good on his $6 billion offer.
The tech billionaire was recently criticized in a CNN article, where the head of the World Food Program, David Beasley, urged the world’s biggest billionaires to do better with their money.
Mr. Beasley explained how $6 billion, which is only 2% of Musk’s net worth, would essentially solve world hunger.
He said, “$6 billion to help 42 million people who are literally going to die if we don’t get to them. It’s not complicated.”
However, the Tesla founder responded to the accusation and said he would only commit to the offer if he was assured that the $6 billion would actually do what Mr.
Musk took to Twitter to criticize the UN official, writing, “If WFP can describe in this Twitter thread exactly how $6 billion will solve world hunger, I will sell Tesla stock right now and do it.”
