Kylie Jenner has been accused of Blackfishing after she posted a video on Instagram listening to music in the car. The post, in which Kylie shows off her outfit and belly, led some social media users to mention her looks and her skin tone that appeared darker than her natural color.

For those unfamiliar with the term ‘Blackfishing’, it is a term that was coined to describe those who appear to be disguised as black or mixed race, and even benefit from that adopted appearance, when they are actually white.
People took to social media to express their concern over Kylie’s Blackfishing, with one user joking that she looks like she’s wearing shade 420 Fenty foundation, a shade made for black skin.

Others pointed out the relative lack of outrage, referencing the fact that just a few weeks ago, Jesy Nelson was heavily criticized for her Blackfishing .
This is not the first time Kylie has been accused of Blackfishing. Last year, she was criticized for the same reason, with followers claiming that Kylie was clearly copying Beyoncé’s look.
This comes after many people recently called out Jesy Nelson for Blackfishing, something she publicly addressed.
Without talking about the criticisms directed at her new video, but which have been floating around social media for some time, Jesy said during an interview with Vulture that she had never deleted the comments under her photos accusing her of Blackfishing.
This was later confirmed to the publication via a follow-up email, in which Jesy said her management had removed them to protect her mental health.
