Madonna’s daughter reveals she was controlled her whole life by her mother
In a new interview with the singer’s friend Debi Mazar for Interview magazine, Leon described her mother as “a control freak.”
The 25-year-old model revealed, “She’s controlled me my whole life. I needed to be completely independent from her as soon as I graduated high school.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Leon, who bought her apartment without her mother’s financial help, and who also went to college, revealed that Madonna refuses to give handouts.
“I think my mother saw all those other children of famous people and said, ‘My kids are not going to be like that,'” he stated.
eon also revealed some of the best advice her mother gave her, “It’s not about the money or your face or how sexy you look. It’s about what you bring into the world and what you’re going to leave behind.”
She had previously spoken about not receiving money from her mother in an earlier interview with Vogue.
“People think I’m a no-talent rich girl who’s been given everything, but that’s not the case,” Leon noted.

Leon made her runway debut in 2018 and this year made her second appearance at New York Fashion Week for Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty Vol 3 runway show.
