Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance does not plan to bring any charges against former President Donald Trump or his company for allegedly creating “secret money” payments or allegedly changing the value of property.

Trump attorney Ronald Fischetti told Politico on Monday that he spoke with Vance’s office last week to get an idea of what they plan to file.

Vance’s team told Fischetti that the current set of possible charges would come being with executives of the Trump Organization, which allegedly failed to pay taxes on corporate profits.

Vance’s team declined to use a case with other charges after Fischetti pressed him for more information.

Fischetti said he expects the charges to reach the Trump organization this week or next.

The charges Fischetti now expects are far lower than the alleged criminal behavior reported in the media and probed by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

“It’s like Shakespeare’s play Much Ado About Nothing,” Fischetti said. “This is so small, I can’t believe I’m going to have to try a case like this.”

In May, James announced that his office would partner with Vance’s office to conduct a criminal investigation into the former president and the Trump Organization.

“We are now actively examining the Trump Organization as the crime in conjunction with the Manhattan district administrator.”

Vance began investigating Trump in 2018 amid allegations that he and his former agent Michael Cohen had violated campaign finance law by paying “hush money” to Daniels to keep an affair secret.
