Netflix renews Love, Death and Robots for a third season and releases new trailer

Love, Death and Robots to be renewed on Netflix for a third season after releasing a new trailer for the second season

The streaming site broke down the exciting message of a third series at the end of the new trailer, it said, “Season 2 has been a long time coming, having been announced back in June 2019.”

But it looks like Netflix is now rewarding fans for their patience, not only by giving them a new trailer ahead of the new season next month, but also a promise of life beyond.

Commenting on YouTube, one person wrote: ” Not only am I happy dear death + robot is back, I’m happy that volume 3 is confirmed for next year.”

While another added: “Not only is part 2 coming in May, but part 3 is coming next year.”

The first series of Love, Death and Robots was executive produced by David Fincher, Jennifer Miller, Tim Miller and Josh Donen.

It consisted of 18 episodes that were entirely self-contained short stories, spanning several genres including horror, fantasy, sci-fi and comedy.

Jennifer Yuh Nelson, who directed some of the shorts but joined the series this year as supervising director, told IGN in a recent interview “The first season of LDR was really groundbreaking for a lot of people. And people saw it and thought, ‘This is possible’; this level of beauty and quality and just subversive stories was possible.”

Nelson and creator Tim Miller has also said he’s not ending the series any time soon: “I love the animation and I love the animators. They’re kind of a unique breed.”

Nelson added, “We can get even better stories and giving people more of what they want is a huge, career ride.”
