On May 14, a tragic incident unfolded in Guelph, Ontario, when the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious collision on Hanlon Parkway. At approximately 6 p.m., officers arrived at the scene of a crash involving two vehicles, where they discovered a man suffering from life-threatening injuries.
Despite immediate medical attention, the victim, a 40-year-old man from Cambridge, succumbed to his injuries shortly after being transported to the hospital.
Details of the Assault and Kidnapping
As the investigation progressed, OPP uncovered alarming details surrounding the victim’s death.
According to a press release issued on May 19, it was revealed that the man had been assaulted and kidnapped from a residence on Fife Road prior to the collision. Five suspects are believed to have been involved in the abduction, fleeing the scene in two separate vehicles.
This shocking revelation has raised concerns within the community, prompting police to classify the case as an isolated incident.

In light of the ongoing investigation, the OPP is actively seeking assistance from the public. They are particularly interested in locating a white 2013 Dodge RAM pickup truck with Ontario license plate BZ 85153, as well as a grey 2010 Toyota Venza bearing the license plate CVBX 602.
Residents and businesses in the vicinity are urged to review their security camera footage for any relevant images or videos that could aid in identifying the suspects or the vehicles involved.
Additionally, drivers who were in the area at the time of the incident are encouraged to check their dash cams for any footage that may provide further insights into the collision or the suspects’ escape.
