A 7-year-old Taiwanese boy allegedly received 27 punches to the body during a judo practice by his classmates and coach, suffered a brain hemorrhage and was eventually pronounced dead.

The boy attended his judo practice in April and suffered a brain hemorrhage after receiving repeated blows. The little boy, just 7 years old, fell into a coma and was on life support for more than 70 days.

“I still remember that morning when I took him to school,” said the boy’s mother. “Then he turned around and said, ‘Mom, bye.’ By the evening, he had gotten like that.”

The little boy’s uncle videotaped the allegedly violent class. The footage shows the boy being thrown around by older classmates acting on the coach’s orders. The coach even allegedly turned on himself.

Then, when the boy fell unconscious, the instructor allegedly accused him of faking the injury, according to the report.

Investigators determined that Ho – which is the trainer’s name – was not a licensed instructor. Ho, was eventually released on bail equivalent to about $3,583. If convicted, he faces life in prison.
