FinanceBuzz is a company that conducts surveys and reviews. This time it is no exception and aims to study whether higher budget movies are scarier than lower budget ones. To do so, they are looking for a “horror lover” to watch 13 movies of this film genre in a span of 10 days.

In return, it offers a payment of $1300 to whoever is brave enough for this task. If you want to know how to participate, pay attention to this information, as we will give you all the details so you can apply.

The company explains that, in this way, it seeks to know which productions cause more fear: the low-budget ones or the ones that had more funding. To do this, the chosen one will wear a bracelet that will monitor his or her heartbeat while watching the movies.

“For a movie to make your hair stand on end and give you chills, it’s not just about high-end special effects and CGI scares. Most of the time, horror movies are scary because of their story… not because of the production studio’s budget,” states the statement issued by the company.

The idea stems from the success of the first installment of ‘Paranormal Activity,’ which cost just $15,000 and grossed $193 million at the box office.

Must-see movies

The horror movie lover will have to watch the following films between October 9 and 18: ‘Paranormal Activity’, ‘Annabelle’, ‘The Purge’, ‘Halloween (2018)’, ‘Scary Game’, ‘Terror in Amityville’, ‘A Quiet Place (1 and 2)’, ‘Candyman’, ‘Night of the Demon’, ‘The Blair Witch Project’, ‘Sinister’ and ‘Run Away!’.

To participate, you must live in the United States (US) and be 18 years of age or older. Those who meet the requirements must fill out a form before September 26.
