This boy and his scar changed the way an entire school thought

This boy had a scar on his face, people at school would not talk to him or sit next to him, actually when schoolmates saw him they would frown at him because of the scar because it was so ugly.

Then in class he met with the teacher and it was suggested that this scar child should not go to school anymore, the teacher took the case to the school board.

The board listened and came to the following conclusion: that he could not take the child out of school and that he would talk to the child so that he would be the last to enter the classroom and the first to leave, that way no student would see the child’s face unless they looked back.

When the boy was made aware of the decision he quickly accepted the school’s imposition, but on one condition: that he would appear in front of all the school’s colleagues to tell them the reason for the scar.

The class agreed and the next day the boy came in and went to the front of the classroom and began to report:

Student speaks with his face cut

You know class, I understand this scar is very ugly, but this is how I acquired it: my mother is very poor and to help feed the house she used to pass clothes out, I was about 7 or 8 years old (the class was quietly attentive to everything) the child continued:

Besides me, I have 3 more little brothers, 4 years old, another 2 years old and a little sister only a few days old (total silence in the room). That’s when I don’t know how our house, which was simple and all wood, started to catch fire.

My mother ran to the room we were in, grabbed my 4 year old brother the 2 year old and I by arm and carried us in, there was a lot of smoke, the walls which were made of wood were on fire and very hot, my mother, put me sitting on the floor outside and asked me to stay there until she came back, as my mom had to go home and bring my little sister who was still left in the burning room.

When my mother tried to enter the burning house, the people who were there did not let my mother enter, I grabbed my little sister and I saw my mother screaming: “my daughter is inside” I saw in my mother’s face the desperation, the horror and she was screaming, but those people did not let my mother enter to look for my little sister.

That’s when I decided: I left my brothers and told them not to move until I came back, I jumped among the people and without them understanding I entered the house. There was a lot of smoke, everything was very hot, but I had to get my little sister.

I knew the room she was in. When I got to the room my little sister was wrapped in a sheet and crying a lot. At that moment I saw something falling and then I crossed over her to protect her and that hot thing touched my face (the class was quiet, attentive to the boy and embarrassed).

The child continued: you may even find that scar, ugly, hideous and frightening, but there is someone at home who thinks it is beautiful and every day when I come in, she, my little sister kisses it because she knows what the mark of love is, good morning.
