A teenager who appeared to have just given birth left her child with a woman eating at a New Jersey restaurant, but luckily, the baby will have a nice home after all.

This happened in Jersey City, where Alease Scott and her boyfriend, were having lunch at the restaurant, when, suddenly, a teenage girl, said to be only 14 years old, walks in.

somewhat bundled up, carrying a newborn baby by her side.

In CCTV footage provided by the restaurant owners, the teenager is seen heading to the counter apparently to order something, and sits down at a table, which is when Scott checks.

He approaches the young girl and they appear to have a brief conversation, before the girl hands her baby to Scott, who then takes the girl back to her table while rocking her.

The teenager recovers a bit, but then suddenly leaves, in a way that makes it appear she was running away.

Later, Scott told authorities that the teen mother was calling for help and Scott, who is trained in CPR and first aid, asked if he could check the baby’s vitals.

Which allowed the mother to start running away.

Sure enough, the police were called and a multitude of first responders showed up at the scene, even providing oxygen to the baby, as he appeared to be having trouble breathing.

Reports say the baby still had part of its umbilical cord attached.

Eventually, one of the police officers takes the child away and they also locate the mother, who also leaves. She will not face any charges and the baby will be put up for adoption.
