Crime in New York City is never surprising. When funding to the police is eliminated and criminals are left to know that there is almost no accountability for their actions, people put the “evil” on the “bad guys.” But some crimes are more disgusting than others.
The NYPD released this video of an incident at a bodega in the city. A thug assaulted an 82-year-old man and stole his property.
The saddest part is that this elderly man’s only property was his friend’s cane.
There is no sound in the video. For the sake of presenting both sides, perhaps it was initiated by the elderly man who needs a cane to walk. I’m sure the suspect will claim that as an excuse. It’s a popular excuse.

You’re an idiot if you assault someone. You’re a criminal if you rob him. You’re a scumbag if you mug an elderly person. What kind of a scumbag do you have to be to mug an elderly person and steal his cane? Is there a street value for stolen canes?
It looks like this guy couldn’t steal anything else that day and needed to meet his quota, one can certainly assume so.
The thug in question is threatening to hit the man while he has his hand on his cane.
It’s not like he was trying to steal something else and grabbed the cane on his way out. He was pointing the cane.
It’s hard to imagine the mistakes one would have to make in life to become such a piece of human excrement.
