The victim’s father decided to report the alleged racial motivation.

The one-sided fight took place in one of the hallways of Scott High School in Taylor Mill, Kentucky.

Incredibly, the boy’s father said his son did not even know his assailant.

Even more disturbing was the alleged motive for the beating.

According to Gilmer, his son was attacked because the three young men believed he was a white supremacist because of the way he dressed.

A school employee told Fox19 that the attack was a “proxy punch,” suggesting that a senior had paid a freshman to beat the boy.

Both Gilmer and his son had no idea why he had been attacked.

Gilmer said he wanted to press charges against the students involved, but didn’t want them to go to jail. Instead, he wanted him to enter a rehabilitation program and hoped it would be a “teachable moment.”

The case was referred to juvenile court, and the students involved were examined by the investigation.

Although possible criminal charges were acknowledged, there was no possible hate crime.

Gilmer removed the online video of the incident after the Taylor Mill Police Department told him he had to delete it.

They claimed they wanted to remove the video so it would not hinder the investigation.
