Detroit police said a 19-year-old woman sitting in a car at a gas station was shot to death as a man pulled out a gun after an argument with another man in the afternoon.

Police reported that the young woman was kept sitting in a car at the gas station at Outer Drive and Conant Street in Detroit, east of Dequindre.

According to police officials, two men were having a fight about something at a gas station when one of the men pulled out his gun and began shooting.

The suspect hit the other man in the hand and also began firing at a car, police said, where the women were sitting.

One of them was grazed by a bullet, while the other died.

“A car full of women, one of those, unfortunately, was hit.

A 19-year-old woman lost her life. Push senseless violence here, in the middle of the day,” said the commander, Eric Decker.

Police are still trying to track down the shooter, but said the woman was not involved with any of the men, but was not in the right place.

Decker said they don’t have a good statement from the suspect, other than he was a black male in his 20s, 6’1″, wearing a white T-shirt, white shoes and carrying a handgun.

Police said they are still trying to determine if the two men knew each other and identify the shooter.
