School of Rock actor Kevin Clark was tragically killed in a car accident after a car fatally struck him while he was riding his bicycle in Chicago Wednesday morning.

According to TMZ , the former actor was riding his bicycle on Chicago’s northwest side early Wednesday morning when he was struck by a driver in a Hyundai Sonata.

A 20-year-old woman was said to be behind the wheel of the car that struck and killed Clark, according to police.

According to a Cook County medical examiner’s report, Clark was rushed to the hospital but pronounced dead at 2:04 p.m. (CDT).

Her sister said the former child star was on her way home at the time of the accident.

Jack Black was one of the first to pay tribute to Clark, as he posted photos of them together on his official Instagram.

Black wrote: ‘Devastating news. Kevin is gone. Too soon. Beautiful soul. So many good memories. Heartbroken.’

It would be his only movie role, but it clearly had a lasting effect on him, as he was reunited with the star of the film Black.
