The plane is said to have caused a huge “explosion” noise on the runway as orange flames appeared from the aircraft. When the plane came to a stop, huge amounts of smoke could be seen billowing from the rear of the aircraft’s engine.

Although the cause of the incident is unknown, one witness claims that the engine “ingested something” when it came into contact with the ground Coincidentally, another plane crash occurred last Saturday (September 25) on the runway at Teesside Airport, according to the Northern Echo.

One of the patients is believed to be in critical condition, following the incident, and two others are believed to be in stable condition. Following the accident, the three people were taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.

Emergency services were able to remove them from the aircraft, where one of those involved was transported to the hospital by air ambulance.

The incident is said to have occurred at around 9:30 a.m. and an investigation has been launched to discover the actual reason for the crash.

On Sunday, Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said, “It has been a difficult weekend for everyone involved in the incident.

We would like to thank our incredible customers who have been so supportive while the airport has remained closed.”

“Most importantly, our thoughts and prayers are with the three people who were on board the aircraft at the time and who remain in hospital.”

Although the airport was closed for most of that weekend, it is now operating normally.
