Lizzo looks amazing in a sheer mesh dress as she makes her way to Cardi B’s birthday party
The 33-year-old Juice singer showed off her infamous curves as she made her way to the rapper’s 29th birthday bash in Los Angeles in a stunning figure-hugging purple dress.
Lizzo looked amazing and proved she’s not afraid to wear daring outfits, despite previously speaking out about how she faced backlash and was attacked by “fat-phobic, racist and hurtful” trolls when she appeared in a music video for her and Cardi B. track rumors.
In the video, both were dressed as Greek goddesses, but some trolls targeted Lizzo, making her cry on Instagram Live.
“People say shit about me that doesn’t even make sense,” she sobbed in an Instagram Live.
“It’s fatphobic, racist and hurtful. If you don’t like my music, if you don’t like the song Rumors, great, but a lot of people don’t like me because of the way I look.”
Wiping away tears, she continued, “I’m putting so much loving energy out into the world…and sometimes I feel like the world doesn’t like me. No matter how much positive energy you put out into the world, there will still be people who have something bad to say about you.”
Cardi defended her friend, criticizing those who called Lizzo “sensitive.”
“When you stand up for yourself, they say you’re troubled and sensitive,” she said. When you don’t, they trash you until you cry like this. Whether you’re thin, big or plastic, they’re always going to try to put their insecurities on you. Remember, these are just nerds looking at the popularity chart,” she raged.
“The song is in the top 10 on all platforms, Body shaming and calling her mom is mean and racist as f***.”
Many rallied to support Lizzo, including Jameela Jamil, who responded to the trolls and called the whole thing “f***ed up.”
