One of the workers noticed blood-filled tissues in the wastebasket of one of the bathrooms. It was then that they discovered a newborn baby among the debris.

Even more surprising was the discovery that someone had given birth in the middle of the flight without anyone else, no crew member or passenger, noticing.

The mother, a 20-year-old woman, was arrested

A 20-year-old woman from Madagascar was suspected of giving birth during the flight and was immediately arrested, the BBC reports.

The baby was taken to the hospital along with its alleged mother. There, doctors made sure that the newborn was in perfect condition and, after the insistent refusal, conducted tests on the young woman to find out whether or not she had just given birth.

The results showed that she was indeed the mother. Both are doing well and the woman could face a charge of abandonment of a newborn, her own child.
