The Filipino tourist, who went to an amusement park to spend his birthday, was attacked by the crocodile when he thought it was a life-size model and jumped into its pool to take a selfie. The distraction made it easy for the crocodile to take a bite out of him and drag him into the center of the small pool to become its snack.

The victim of his own recklessness, identified as Nehemias Chipada, after the crocodile’s bite managed to open his jaw and walk away bleeding, but alive, on his own two feet.

Attacked by a crocodile: bone fracture and wounds in his arm and thigh

The incident occurred at the Cagayan de Oro City amusement park in the Philippines, where the man was celebrating his 68th birthday with his family. In the end, Nehemias Chipada, had to be transferred to a hospital, although he was bandaged on the spot to prevent further bleeding.

The man was treated for broken bones and eight wounds, which required stitches on his left arm and thigh.

The injured man’s family has threatened to sue the park for failing to warn of the presence of a dangerous animal. The amusement park, for its part, agreed to assume the costs of health care, but denied that they were negligent.
