Biden asks Americans to reflect on one of the worst incidents of racial violence in our country to condone systemic racism 100 years after it occurred.

The White House gave a statement recognizing the Tulsa Racial Massacre of 1921, in which a mob of white supremacists named a burgeoning black neighborhood, Greenwood also known as Black Wall Street.

The massacre took place on May 31 and June 1, and according to the bid countries “Families and children were murdered in cold blood.”

As many as 300 African Americans were killed when the white mob set fire to buildings, churches, businesses and homes.

The President says that on this solemn anniversary he asks the American people to “reflect on the deep roots of racial terror in our nation,” so that the work of systemic racism in our country will end.

In fact, many had never even heard of it until the 2019 HBO series “Watchmen” included it as a storyline.

So, on this Memorial Day, it is quite significant that the POTUS addresses a Memorial Day weekend attack from a century ago that has been so often overlooked
