Upon rescuing the feline, they discovered it was Buddha, now 13 years old and in poor health. With a faded ear tattoo confirming his identity, the humane society quickly reached out to the community via social media, hoping to find his owner.
The response was immediate, and within hours, Turner received the news she had longed for. “The minute I saw the notification from my old friend asking if this was Buddha, I cried in the bar and ran around in circles,” she recalled, her heart racing with excitement.

On a sunny Thursday, Turner returned to Kelowna, where she and Buddha were finally reunited.
