Waitress says she had been fired after wearing ‘inappropriate’ blouse

TikTok user Vanessa Zavala, 22, posted an emotional video showing her sobbing in her car and saying she was sent home “because they didn’t like my top.”

She told viewers, “I work at this club bar-restaurant where bitches show up in fucking corsets, lingerie tops to work.

But MY blouse, my long-sleeved blouse, is fucking ‘ugly’ and ‘inappropriate’ – what’s the point?” She explained that she was not fired for her choice of attire, but for posting her complaint about the consequences on social media.

“They said because of my TikTok and because someone commented on the name of the restaurant underneath, I’m fired,” she said.

Zavala was outraged that she was penalized for “expressing how she felt” despite not naming the restaurant in her original clip. However, after losing her job, she said she no longer cared, explicitly giving her name and telling viewers that they should “do with that what they want.”

“I’m kidding,” he quickly added, before confirming that he was going to “make a scene on the Internet” and “write a lot of negative reviews.”

In a third clip , he included a screenshot of a series of one-star reviews on the restaurant’s Google page, writing, “BFFs got me.”

One user commented, “The food is terribly overpriced and not worth it.”

On the other hand, followers confirmed that they had joined the stream of negative reviews and were keeping an eye on the business.

One of them wrote: “They’ve restricted your comments on Insta! “, I’m going to keep commenting, hehe, WE PUT YOU ON!”. Another had to point out that some people were posting about the wrong restaurant.

Other TikTokers were more critical of Zavala’s approach.

“You can’t engage your work on social media or vent, unfortunately, if you want to keep it…” said one.
