The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed his removal on Saturday, following his detention at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport in Kenner, Louisiana on Thursday.
Yiannopoulos, a British citizen, entered the US through New York City in May 2019. He was issued a final order of removal by an immigration judge on July 22 after failing to appear for his immigration hearing. The DHS stated that Yiannopoulos ‘chose to overstay his welcome in violation of our nation’s laws.’
