This is the case of a young woman who has gone viral on TikTok after sharing a video of one of her dates where everything went wrong. The user named Heydi (heydiberber) shared one of her experiences on a first date with one of her suitors, where the man bought food just for him.
On their first date, she forgets her money and the man buys food just for him
Everything was going well on their first date, but the situation took an unexpected turn when Heydi realized that she had forgotten her wallet and with it her money.
The logical thing that could happen in such a situation, is that her companion would share, or ask for something for her as a gesture of chivalry, however, great was the surprise of the young woman when the man she had gone out with did not invite her anything to eat and, to top it off, only bought her food and ate it in front of her.
“On our first date I had no money, so he just bought himself the food,” the young woman wrote.
So, while placidly eating, Heydi took the opportunity to brag about the guy on social media. The video quickly went viral on TikTok and has so far garnered more than 5 million views, more than 484 thousand likes and more than 44 thousand comments.
The viral video divides opinions
In the viral video you can see how the young girl recorded her partner eating in front of her. Because of this, the girl asked her followers if they thought it was a good idea to go out with him again.
“Should we go out again?” she asked.
As expected, the video caused a furor on TikTok dividing opinions. Some users pointed out that their date was “a rube,” others noted that you should always have money on you, especially on a first date.
Similarly, other netizens criticized the man for his lack of manners and just as many made some points about gender equality.
